Set #1:
1.
Grading: Ten problems from the
assignment will be chosen at random.
Your score for the entire assignment will be taken from this
sample.
2.
Due: Next
block day.
3.
Clarity and Legibility: Your work must be neat and
clear. (Unfortunately, if I can’t read
your work, or follow your reasoning, I will be forced to give you a zero.)
4.
Collaboration: You MAY collaborate. Working
with another student is an excellent way to check your work and pool your
knowledge. (Caution: do not let other people do your work. If you find yourself in a group where
everyone else is contributing answers faster than you can come up with them,
you would be better off working alone.)
5.
Cheating: Cheating is different from
collaboration. Cheating takes place
when one person contributes everything and the other person contributes
nothing. It is an unequal
exchange. If someone asks to copy your
work problem by problem, that is cheating.
If cheating is discovered, both parties will be severely
disciplined.
6.
Teacher Assistance: I will not provide direct
assistance with any formal set question.
You may ask me general questions.
