The purpose of this module is to introduce you to the basics of server-side includes and scripting languages for allowing shared code between multiple pages within a website. Little actual coding is required in this module. Most concepts are taught by examining real world websites, and discussing how site developers have done what they've done. The only exception is a very simple client-side script that you'll have an opportunity to write in Lesson 2.
