LEADERSHIP

Plans for upcoming Open
House on March 6th were discussed.
A seating arrangement detail was presented.
In response to last
meeting’s concern about over-using the English teachers to grade scholarly
papers, Phyllis reported that retired English teachers had been hired to
conduct the second reading of the papers. This should help alleviate the stress
and strain on the English department a bit, and will also provide an outside,
professional viewpoint for the students, which we all agree is a positive
thing.
On-line registration is
ready for its initial flight. Julie Kratzig has created a system that should
work well for everyone, and has enough parent and teacher helpers to keep
things moving smoothly.
Final thoughts and questions
were addressed, in preparation for next week’s WASL testing. All systems go.
(Today’s meeting was
abbreviated somewhat because of a two hour delay to the school day due to
snowfall.)
